The Complete Guide to Carb Counting, 3rd edition, is a thorough and comprehensive book written in an easy to follow style that covers everything that I , as a registered dietitian, would want my patients, especially those with diabetes, to know. The book provides tips I would consider important including information on sodium and fiber and effects of fat and protein on BG. Other health conditions related to hyperglycemia eg cancer and cataracts are reviewed. Explanations of insulin pump terminology, insulin timing, insulin factors, and factor adjustments are also provided.
